Unhappy Gear Changing Questions

Just recently bought a Cirrus for my wife & have a question.
Occassionly when driving the car, the gears tend to shift slowly.
Could it be time for a transmisson tune, fluid & filter change ?
The car is a 95 Cirrus.

UPDATE; put our car in the shop, turns out it was the selinoid pack.
