Talking intake update

hey guys i finally bought an intake for the 93 base gt. http://www.overboost.com/obs/product.asp?pid=32721 i went with the injen one because for 180 (includes shipping) im gettin the filter and the pipe. The K&N looks real nice but i was only gonna get the filter for that same price. I should be gettin it in a few days hope i get a little more hp out of it. Just thought id keep u guys posted. . (n thx guys for the input in the last thread n helpin me pick this out for me.)

Yo man post some pics after you install it. Injen is a very good brand and most of us here had no idea they made that for our cars. you will be helping out alot of new comers as well as some of us who might want to change intakes in the near future.

Re: intake update

Does that one hook up to the mass air flow box? or is it just a straight through tube with the filter on the end?

sry i didnt post back aint been on in awhile...ill try n get some pics of the car n intake soon if possible...but yea i do notice a nice increase with the injen. I mean it is a base model and everything but i can tell a nice difference with the intake. for 180 bucks you get the filter n the pipe to the throttle. So i dunno how this compares to the K&N but for the same price you would only be gettin a filter with K&N. Car wasnt to quick b4 off the line it still not that great but on the highway i murdered an eclipse the other week with the inktake n could notice a nice increase. So yea if u guys already have K&N mine as well keep it if not Injen is a very nice product. Also i might look into gettin the cold air extension u can get with the Injen intake for i think around 50 bucks? Im out guys peace.

my boys short ram sounds really loud but mine does sound good but not so much a power sound but more of a hissing noise...sexy to me though (also cant hear the intake to much because my exhaust is so loud)...maybe also cuz i have an auto because i notice with sticks an exhaust or intake sounds better...I have 2 Power 1 exhausts if u ever heard of them? N also let me know how the cold air extension works out for you and if its worth gettin thx.

Re: intake update

no cutting involved as long as you get the right intake for your car make sure its for a base or vr-4 or whatever you have.
