car lock on 1st. gear

i allways put the car on Drive an it works , but if i put it on 1st gear it feels like its on park and gear at the same time any ideas? .

Altho I don't understand about 90% of what you wrote due to verbage, here goes my stab at this. If you have QuadaTrac, as I do, 1st is a very low ratio and it'll feel very heavy. That's just how it is. If you want to retype your question and use more detail, better words, etc. I'll try a more educated guess.

ok , my english isn,t good , i now , thanks for the remainder any way (i cant find my diccionary ), the problem in my car is this : if you put the trany on first gear the car do not move at all , but you can feel how the car is trying to push fward , imagine puting the car in front of a wall and try to push it ( the wall i mean ). thats the best way i can describe it . thanks for any stabs. ( not in the back please ) , the car is a gc. 93 5.2 4x4 i dont now if it is acuada trac .cris5.2

Yes u do have Quadra-Trac in that Jeep. it should move it will probably sound like it is moving faster then what it actually is moving, but that is b/c it is a low gear mainly intend for 4lo, it allows more traction in slick conditions for towing. would u be able to send me a pic of ur Vacuum Harness I have a 94 G/C w/ 5.2 and had a fire in the engine compartment, and I need a pic of the vacuum harness that connects the EGR Valve, intake Manifold, Throttle body, Purge Solenoid, etc.... please send any pics to me (Joe) at [email protected]
