Performance upgrades 03 TDI Jetta

i just got a 03' Jetta Turbo Diesel Injection and iam pretty dissapointed with its lackluster performance.Sure i love the excellant mileage and i love the turbo whine as i mash down the accelerator even though it takes a good 12 seconds to reach 60 MPH. Anyways is there any upgrades that can make my diesel chuggin Jetta at least keep pace with Civics and Hyundais???.

Re: Performance upgrades 03 TDI Jetta

You can get a chip for it I think a place called MTM sells them. Buy a Eurotuner, GOLF magazine, and European Magazine and look at the adds in the back. Call some and see if they have anything you can do.

Re: Performance upgrades 03 TDI Jetta

Get some additives in the diesel fuel to increase the cetaine value.
It will help alote with the performance.

Also if you start the engine when it is cold leave the engine to warm up before you shut it off.
Do not shock the engine with sudden start then stops.

Go for a tune up, some injectors could be out of range (bad pulverizing of the diesel fuel)
