My 1994 Civic MP

Yeah... I have a 94 Civic MP(Money Pit). It's a piece of shit!!!!!!!!!

You can look up my old posts here, and find that I've had at least a 2000 Si, a 89 CRX DX, a 89 Accord, and even a 95 Neon. This Civic has broken more than all of those cars combined, what's the deal with this thing?

Last night, I pull out of a driveway, as normal, I tach it out to 8400. This time, it pulled real hard to the right, and then once I shifted, it hit 9 grand, and wouldn't go anywhere. I stop, and I try to go again. The engine is fine, as it's seen 9000 RPM a few times already. I put it into 1st, and let the clutch out, NOTHING! Like it's in nuetral, but I hear a bunch of scraping shit, like somethings loose, and the speedo went up, as I gave it gas!

It helps to know that my tranny was replaced < a month ago, with a Si tranny, and with a ACT street disc @ 1000 mi ago. That shit was $700. And it was done because my tranny was fucked, and it fucked the original clutch.

What is that shit? Cant be the clutch... Better not be the tranny.

My Neon, supposedly a POS by default, in a year only lost an alternator belt, and gained a valve tick, that didn't affect performance.

So it looks like who knows how much more is going into this POS Honda, just to keep it nearly stock....

Never knew Honda's were such POS's...at least the engine has survived 9K plus in 90 degree weather...

Re: My 1994 Civic MP

Sounds like an axle broke or stripped out something in the tranny. Opps!

Hope for a bad axle, they are cheap and easy to replace when compared to a tranny rebuild/replacement. GL

you bad mouth hondas, but you drive them to shit! What the hell do you expect? Ohh yes let me go out and rev to 9,000 just because....Did you try to drop the clutch in 3rd gear or something? Buy a NEW car and drive it the same as you do this one and I guarantee that the same will happen. Jeez... you say the car sucks but you still torture it. Sell it and maybe a more respectful owner can take care of it...

Re: My 1994 Civic MP

The usual smartass comments ensue...

Anyway, I think it's the axle, because I had someone put it in gear with the car on, and the right axle was spinning freely. So I checked for play on the axle. There is play going toward the wheel knuckle.

The clutch might have gone too... When he or I put the car in gear, and let the clutch out, it doesn't die, just like with a slipping clutch. And you don't need to clutch it to put it in gear.

The goddamned clutch and tranny are 1,000 miles old.

Let's see... bothersome problems that this POS have given me. All in 6000 miles

Clutch Slave cylinder.

Transmission main bearing going out.

Clutch disk springs coming out due to beastly ass shifting, and getting lodged into bellhousing, screwing transmission case up comletely, and causing both to need replacement.

Axle breaks, NEW clutch goes, and possibly the transmission itsself.

Yay! Civic drivelines suck ass!
