5sfe auto to 3sgte manual

Heyyy, As most of yall may know. I've been out to get a 3sgte for a long time. Well, the time has come to make a major decision.
I have spent a good amount of money on my car. (1990 gt liftback, custom ground effects) Its automatic and not fast enough.
I have considered the swap to 3sgte but i dont know how or whats involved in the auto to manual swap. Or how much more it would cost for that matter. I am also considering buying a 7th gen gts for about 13-15k.
I have found some 3sgte's around. Theres one with an auto 2wd tranny...
What should i get??
