Anybody driven or seen the new DB9?
I have ordered the new DB9 which I am very excited about except I keep reading these articles that are not as good as one would expect.
I am not looking for a super performance sports car. I am looking more for a GT that has luxury and does not have a totally stiff ride. Has anybody driven the new DB9? I am 6'2" and was wondering what people thought about the interior space as well as the ride quality. I am a former 2004 SL600 owner and that car was very luxurious, extrememly fast and very comfortable. I was looking to step up and thought the DB9 would be a good choice but I am concerned about the cabin space and stiffness of the ride. Any feedback would be appreciated. Below is the link of the article I just read. http://autozine.kyul.net/html/Aston.htm |

You sound like my kind of guy. I too have an '04 SL600, along with an '04 SL65 (I collect SL's of all kinds) but my I gave my wife a DB9 Volante for her 60th birthday. At 6'2", you may have a problem with the volante, but the coupe would be reasonable.
The DB9 is every bit as good as everyother Aston and then some. I ever prefer it to the Vanquish! It is very much in the spirit of the SL600 too. Comfortable and easy to drive in everyday traffic, but when you require it, it has the ability to create its own weather. It is a seriously capable all rounder, and If you liked your SL, you'll love this... |

May be a little stiffer. But don't worry, its not going to break your back whenever you go over a catseye like a ferrari would or somthing. The seats will support you in ever place possible too, which adds to the comfort. You will feel just as fresh after a long journey, as you did when you first got in the car. Its great.
