Never just "good"...

It's never just "good" news for me. Always a little good, a little bad.

The good shit: I installed my boost controller and my boost gauge this weekend.

The bad shit: I accidentally turned the screw (it's a manual boost controller) too much and the screw came out in my hand...didn't think about it at the time, but...WHERE'D THE SPRING GO!?!? DAMN IT!!!! Gotta get a new spring now...such an idiot...

More bad shit: I noticed I have an oil leak. Whether it just started or it's been there a while, I don't know, but there's a little smoke coming from the driver's side of the engine. Not horrible, but it's there. More of an annoyance than anything else...you know...another thing to have to keep an eye on.

I'd check around the vavle cover for the oil leak. My 240 had a leak around the base of the vavle cover and it was dripping down to the exhaust manifold.

Re: Never just "good"...

There's a bit of oil around the valve cover...could be where it's coming from. Haven't really looked at it to carefully...just noticed it yesterday.

Re: Never just "good"...

that sucks that you lost the spring. i don't know about the z31, but if you drop a small part in the engine bay of a z32 and didn't see where it landed, i give you good luck in finding it.

Re: Never just "good"...

I'll just buy a new spring...shouldn't be too hard to find at a hardware store or something...I hope, at least. I'm almost positive it fell through to the ground. Went back to where the screw came out and didn't see the spring...so maybe it'll turn up. I doubt it. Right now, I'm running 6 psi. Little better than the stock 4-5, but very little difference.
