Post just got back from the races!

MPdragway.com
Clay City,KY

few months back I ran a 20.5,stock(intake,muffler)
added headers,straight pipe,advanced timing,synthetic oil,valve clearance adjusted & actually ran a 19.314 at 67.183,
gained a second,
now I think thats pretty good for a d15b8 but its still a piece of crap!
I ran my brothers 92 maxima & he ran a 16.890,stock

if I changed my head to a vtec/si head, would this change the hole performance in my motor?
like, would it take out the cx performance & bring in the si?
or is it just the block?

Re: just got back from the races!

is the d15b8 carbuerated? if not, put a Vtec head on it you would have to mess w/the wiring for Vtec, but you would have Vtec and it would give you more power. You could probably buy a sohc Vtec motor for not much more then it would cost to put a Vtec head on your d15.

Re: just got back from the races!

yeah, but you'd think that molded scoop would give him like 40 hp.

races

I actually put my stock 13 inch rims on when I raced,
& the hood scoops just for looks, but it is functional
ALSO,when I put the bumpers on,I took the actual "bumper" (metal)
off when I put on the blitz,
so I think I lightened up some weight on that one,

& if you guys would do some research on civic specs, you would know that the 92 civic cx d15b8 8 valve is like the slowest motor out!
so how would it be the body kit?altezza?(that pretty much weigh the same!)
its all on the motor & I was simply showing people how slow a 92 civic motor can be with alot of horsepower added on,its a piece of crap!
& the real question I was looking for was about the head & block!

Thats retardedly slow.. Even for a DX... I was going to ask what kind of rims you had and if they were off a school bus but then I went to your webpage.. Is this really your car?!

If it is, put some steelies on it and enjoy being probably 2 seconds faster..

EDIT: Why on earth would you put a slower motor in your car than what it came with?! Si motors aren't cheap enough for you? Geeze, I see them selling for like $100..

Re: just got back from the races!

Thats the link in YOUR SIG! If you want more recent pics of your car, post 'em up.. I couldn't even imagine.

Anyway, lets see it..

AAANNNNDDD can you tell me why on earth you would put an even slower motor in your car? Even if it was free, Si motors are a dime a dozen.
