Re: Real Numbers
very informative. im glad that you state that you dont have much car expirence and not claim yourself to be the next driftking like the rest of the noobie scum. but truthfully, the question you asked for is very extremely vague. not all engine and car combos have same times or even similar times, it all depends on driver skill and tunning capacities.
but for a good idea, just read through freshalloy.com 240 advanced forum. they normally post the times they have earned in the 1320 and thats probably the best place to search for anything 240 related. i know what i just posted went against what you said, but its the best i can do for you since your question is very vague. best of luck finding the knowledge you seek

Re: Real Numbers
well ive heard that a stock s13 with slicks can run 11's with a stock rb25 and some weight reduction.
as for how fast it would be with a turbo upgrade...again a very vague question, turbos set up different amounts of power and weight reduction can go from just air conditioning to removing everything in the interior (seats, carpet, deadening...etc)

Re: Real Numbers
Turbo upgrades do vary. I just did a pretty good write-up on turbos in the "turboo" thread. Help you understand why it is hard to say. RB25s can support 400hp safely with room to improve. 400hp should be in the low 11s maybe even 10s depending on what tires and drivetrain components you have.

hahah 0-60 in the 5 second range ain't shit. most low 14 second cars can do it in the 5 second range. so if you swap in a SR with minor bolt ons, or a KA turbo you'll hit 60mph in the 5 second range. i know this for a fact becasue my KA acelerates exactly the same as cars that are proven to do 0-60 in the 5 second range.

Re: Real Numbers
Its not on your list, but i'll add some of my rb20det stats. Making around 300rwhp with hks2530 turbo, stock injectors, afm and ecu (with SAFC) plus normal mods like fuel pump, FMIC and exhaust. Ran 13.0 which is crap, but almost 115mph on low boost so definately potential for high 11s with high-boost, decent suspension, diff and semi-slicks. No idea of 0-100kph though as my speedo is broken and wheelspin is too much of an issue.
Does the rb25 have enough room for 2 turbos in an s13? Do any of them have room for 2 intercoolers in an s13? I know someone with a fully worked rb25det with twin hks2530 turbos. Ran 10.8 with braking at the end to avoid breaking-out at the drags so low 10 potential. That's a RHD though so not sure if there's enough room in a LHD (he was using a modified RB26 manifold).

well heres one thing 0-60 doesnt' win races. its ther 1/4 mile that does. most cars can have a great 0-60 but loses in the second half. a high 11 second car to give you an idea how fast that is, is as fast as a saleen S7, or a u.s. spec mc laren F1. however the trap speeds for those 2 cars are around 30 mph off. since those cars trap at 130ish. while the 11 second 240 will trap at 115 like what Neil Se runs. so which means neil had the better whole shot but didn't have the top end grunt like the exotics. from the mph difference at the finish lines it should mean there is around a 200hp difference in power. since generally it takes 10 hp to gain 1 mph or lose 100 lbs to gain 1 mph at the finish line. so that being said. a 11 second 240 should do 0-60 in the high 3 second range. that is if you have a limited slip differential, a really good driver, and some wide and very sticky tires. also its not the engine that makes the car faster. generally a 300whp engine is goin to be very similar to another 300whp engine. so comparing different engines at that is power is pointless. however if you want to talk about reliablity then the 2jz will win hands down. it can make 600whp with a turbo upgrade on pump gas. but do you really need 600whp for a small car like a 240? i mean considering DUY has around that power and he has the fastest street 240 in the world running a high 10 at over 120mph. i mean goin to be too much of a machine for a young guy like you handle. have you even sat in a 13 second car? let alone drive one? a 11 second is waaaaaaaaaaay faster and much harder to drive.
