Pop-ups..... unacceptable

I come check this forum every so often to see what's being talked about and try to give some people my personal experience. This is my first time back since the pop-up ads have began to invade this forum. I frequent many sites where ads are a part of life and keep things afloat, but in no way are they as persistent and annoying as this site's ads. I personally do not tolerrate such aggressive marketing and hope that this campaign will be rethought by the editors of this board. Until the ads are toned down a little bit I'll be spending my time elsewhere.

you might want to download a copy of spybot (head to download.com). I don't have any popups when I come.

I'm not getting any popups here and I am not running any blocker software.

What irks me is the new automotive articles column on the right ---->

Now, I have to constantly use the slider on the bottom to check the last poster on a thread. $#&^$%!!

I use Mozilla as a browser and it has a setting to block pop-ups...I get no pop-ups from this site. Its nice because that way I don't have to have a seperate pop-up blocker program. Here's the address:http://www.mozilla.org/

You may also want to download something to check your comp. for any spyware that might be on it which can also trigger pop-ups.

I've never seen a pop-up here either. And the only time I see the articles listed on the right is when I am starting a thread or posting a reply. This is a WONDERFUL site in that it has no pop-ups and lots of good info and discussion to boot.

It's way better than the Town Hall that Edmunds' site has links to.

Just my 2 cents worth. Everybody keep up the great work!!

Re: Pop-ups..... unacceptable

I have noticed that I get a lot of pop-ups when I go to the basic html list page of this sight, but when I come to the page generated by vbulletin, I don't see them. Does that help?
