ecm troubleshooting

my Ecm dash light flashes constantly (faster than the indicator) . now my pulsar idles way too high, it overheats, and is sluggish into intial acceleration, i replaced plugs,leads,filters.etc .(no help). can someone please tell me how to test the ecm module by doing that earthing thing. cheers

Under your seat is the ECM. locate the diagnostic link connector,
Bridge terminals A & B with a wire (etc) with the ignition on.
Codes will then be identified to you by the light on the dash.
Compere code numbers to find fault.
