200 Rodeo Jerky Transmission

I've seen some various info on the Internet about the 2000 Rodeo having problems with a jerky automatic transmission. I went through the mill with my Dealer last year when I noticed hesitations between gear shifts. They kept saying they couldn't do anything unless an Error Code showed up. Finally it got so bad that the jerking into gears almost gave me whiplash and an error code showed up. After a few attempts to fix it they said they found metal shavings in the crankcase and in December 2003 put in a new transmission. It corrected it. However a month ago the EXACT symptoms are showing up again. I returned it to the same Dealer and again I'm gettign the run around even though they no it started this way with the last transmission. Here's my problem. My warranty runs out in 8,000kms and they know that so I think they are hoping no error codes show up again until after my Warranty is over.
I checked for a Technical Service Bulletin for this and it doesn't appear to be one. However I know other owners are experiencing the same problems. Does anyone know of anything I can get my hands on that can give me a better case with Isuzu to illustrate this is a common Manufacturing flaw??
Please email me at [email protected]
ANY help would be appreciated.
Doug

Do you have any aftermarket stereo equipment installed?

Re: 200 Rodeo Jerky Transmission

chack for a tranny fluid leak at the pass side of tranny if there is no leak take it to the dealer tell them to hook up to ITCS pull up freeze frame data and there will most likely be a code P0705 trans range switch illegal position if so they should replace the range switch
befor bringing it to them try this turn the key on you dont have to start it
move the gear selector from P to L see if it matches up with the display on the inst. panel if it does not then your range switch is the problem
