Isn't it like super "hard" to do the timing belt? Has anyone ever done it before on their own here?

he he. yes i did mine last year with the waterpump as well at the same time, you dont want to be doing it twice i can tell you. went quite well i got it done in about 7 hours but i have been in the motor trade all my life so have had 17 years experience and sometimes "heartache" in taking cars apart.
the only advice i can give you is if you have never taken a car apart before, dont start on your own!!!!!!!!! it was the most involved one i have done to date it but helped having a huge pair of dangly ones between your thighs!!!!!! lol doing the clutch is worse i can tell you..........but thats another story.......
