Sounds like a simple connection has come loose. Check the connections that that reading draws from...should be pretty easy.

That is a damn nice car you have, man. PLEASE keep at it! Do NOT let it go to a bad home or a junk yard........PLEASE!! It is rare that you see a Z31 with that clean of a body. My reccomendation: buy a Hayne's manual. These books have everything you could ever want to know know about when it comes to taking apart or putting back together a Z31. Cost...maybe $15...Damn good and highly recommended. Try that and see if that helps.

Nice Z31... Do as LLtZ says! Buy the HAYNES manual! I wish they made one for us Z32 guys... bastards!

It should not be too hard to get the dash apart... most liely will have to drop the steering column and it's cake from there!

Re: 85 300z non turbo

You might not have to pull the dash...I dunno...I'm definately NOT an electrical person. My oil temp gauge doesn't work. I know it's probably something simple, as in your case, but I don't really like messing with that shit.

Look on eBay for a nissan factory repair manual...those are like the bible for any repair you could ever want to do. I'm quite sure they have those for Z32s, too.

Whatever you do, don't give up, man! It's a beautiful car!
