power lock and alarm advice

ok, my car doesnt have power locks. and ive been looking into getting a power lock kit and car alarm offline to install myself and im wondering if it matters which brands u match between the lock kit and an alarm. www.commandoalarms.com has a good deal for both the kit and alarm, but ive heard some bad stuff about their quality. so would getting any lock kit and any alarm from somewhere else work? im on a semi-low budget but in need of an alarm bad. also any suggestions on a good brand of lock kit or alarm that would work well

Say no to commando. You have heard right they are junk. Try buying online at ebay for what you are looking for. Autoloc makes an easy to install power door lock kit. All of the wires have the connectors on them. After mounting the actuators the wires plug into each door and then plug into the brain. After hooking up the power you are done. Autoloc will work with any alarm unit. I have this system in my 88 Prelude si and it works great. As for the Alarm dont go cheap. You will be sorry if you do. Try finding a good one on sale. I recomend DEI. If you need help with finding something that fits your needs or installation let me know. But I always recomend a professional installation if you think you cant do it.
