problems with 83 325e

ok my brother is having problems with his 325, he recently put intake and the DINAN(spelling) chip on his car. and for the past week his car has died 3 times on him, just driving it. the thing is where he bought the chip from said he had to run the car on 91 octane gas. some people ive talked to about it said that it could be the fuel filter... what do you guys think it is?

Re: problems with 83 325e

DEFINETLEY have to run it on premium gas. What the chip did was remap the ignition timing so that it is optimized for 91 octane. If you don't use 91 or higher octane gas, it can cause you problems.

Try Changing Your Spark Plugs , And I Also Suggest Runing Some 93 Octane, With Some Redline Fuel Treatment.
