Hello
this car has been in my family since new it has 102,000 miles and is on its 3 rd motor all from overheating this motor has only 10,000 or so miles and guess what it is overheating. i had the radiator and the thermastat replaced the o2 senser, the cat converter is ok just had that checked i am very frustrated with this of course last night i had the muffler replaced and the cat converter checked it is ok and on the way home i noticed the oil pressure was getting low and the temp was going high it has been like this for a while i have babied it and thought it was the cat verter so any ideas , i hope thanks in advance ps . the car runs great and sounds great if it had not been for the history i would think it is just a bad gauge cluster the thing get 27 miles to the gallon |

gotta be a 2.5L, or so I'll assume.
Do the fans come on properly? were the proper (mopar) headgaskets used? Does the heat work? (heater core will cause to overheat) are the temp sensors fooling you? is the dash regulator or BCM (passenger footwell) bad? have you checked the ECM codes? Post back what you find and I'll see if I can help you.

This could be a blind shot in the dark, but given the history of overheating I would verify that the coolant hoses are correctly installed. What I mean is does the radiator hose from the lower part of the radiator go to the water pump inlet? I have seen, from the factory mind you, an Acura V6 that had the water pump inlet coming from the TOP of the radiator. The motor would overheat only on long slight uphill grades. Like I said, a long shot but it does happen. Also verify that the lower hose does not collapse when the engine is revved.
