NOPI results, CO2 opinion & interesting video

In-Car Burnout Video (camera pointed backwards):

... not my best burnout ... but still fun ...

Well I had a double-NOPI weekend at ATCO Raceway. It was hot and humid and I was running slow again *sigh*

We had top finish out the Elimination rounds from the rained out Maple Grove event. This went fast for me...
1st round I was pitted agaisnt Jason Furgeson in the Titan Civic.
He got me (big surprise), with a 10.28 @ 149 to my (best of the weekend) 11.897 @ 117.31 (1.73). ... so that finished me off for the MG make up.

Qualifying for Atco went terrible for me:
1st attempt was 12.1 @ 116 (1.77)
2nd attempt was 12.2 @ 115 (poor reaction, botched launch 1.82) and missed 3rd)
3rd attempt was 12.3 @ 116 ... seriously bad launch (27 (1.927)

1st round I was pitted against Mr. Furgeson from Titan again.
Very decent guy and very friendly ... he's the kinda guy I enjoy losing to.
I was running 23.5 psi of boost on my last run with the oil light on
This was the last run:
Can you believe THAT ... 11.999999999999999999999 ? What are the chances?

I used C02 for the first time this weekend.
The bad news: the bottle had only lasted for 2 runs ... this was just spraying the IC down prior otthe run.
The good news: I ran my 11.8 after the IC was the coldest in the middle of one the hottest parts of the day .... so I guess it wroked

Hyde passed 199,000 miles on the way home
... also Hyde has no officially done over 100 1/4 mile passes!!

Times from this weekend are updated here:
http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/slips.htm
My launches: I had two 1.7's in the 60' and one 1.800 .... the other 2 were worse.

Re: NOPI results, CO2 opinion & interesting video

... the benefits I am seeing from my new manifold are becoming evident.
Although I ran 11.8's @ 117 before ... this weekend was 20-30 degress HOTTER, so I can expect some faster ETs when the weather starts to cool down around here.

BTW if its not against the rules you might want to try spraying nitrous, rumor goes that some of the big gains seen with nitrous based ntercoolers are partially due to nitrous being sucked by the intake into the engine.

Re: NOPI results, CO2 opinion & interesting video

I ran 11.7 before when it was cooler ... so I am hoping to be much lower 11.4-11.5 range.

We'll see ... I have a few weeks till the next drag event.
