4WD Clicking Noise

I've got a 1994 3.2L V6 Rodeo with 4WD, manual transmission. Upon shifting into 4WD and rolling forward, I hear a clicking noise presumably coming from the wheels. Could this be bad CV Joints?
Thanks,
Witherer

Re: 4WD Clicking Noise

could be, if you look at them and see torn rubber boots the joint probably need replacing soon.with 4X4 engaged does it click when you accelerate or decelerate in a turn? this would indicate worn out cv joints.

Is the noise persistant, or does it just do it right after shifting into 4wd? If it only does it once after shifting, thats just the auto hubs locking in.
