First time rc model

I'm interested in rc electric cars but have never bought one before and unsure what to get.
I was thinking about a tamiya tl01 chassis

Re: First time rc model

You are definately on the right foot by calling the RC the proper name, chassis, instead of calling it a Tamiya 350Z. So you definately know you buy chassis' instead of cars.

Re: First time rc model

I'm in England and I'm guessing your all in america so my budget may mean not very much to you. I would prefer on road as there are a lot of clubs near me which mainly focus on on road cars.

There are 2 rtr cars which I like, a hpi sprint rtr and a tamiya xb. Both look amazing. I was also interested in joining a club so I don't know which out of the 2 is better. If anyone owned 1 of them it would be a real help if you could tell me a bit of infomation on them.

My other option was to get a used tl01 off ebay which is ready to race.

You may want to also consider the Tamiya TB-02. From what I've heard it's a good car right out of the box. And if you want to get serious and race, there are a ton of available hop-ups.
