Question 95 Neon opinion

It sad to say I have to put my 94 camry xle to rest because i just can not afford to keep it going. I had the oil pan gasket replaced , and o-ring on the filter replaced, and now its pending a RMS (real main seal ) leakage replacement, which as we all know is a hefty repair, totalling somewhere between 600-800 bucks. I figured I should look onward since this camry has defects like crazy (broken door handle, torn cloth, etc.)

So I'm going to look at a 95 neon tomorrow. I havent seen it myself yet and have read several reviews ranging from good to bad as usual. Can anyone offer me any advice about whats a good idea to check on a 95 neon and what some major flaws have been. anything, ANYTHing someone can offer can really help me. btw they are asking 1500 for it.

thanks.

Check for a headgasket leak, happened on every Neon. If its been replaced all ready, it probably won't leak again if it has the updated gasket.

thanks for your advice, i talked to my mechanic i have been seein for awhile now, and all your advices have been confirmed. blown head gaskets can become a real problem. i got a good car , nothing else wrong with it, i have decided to go ahead and invest in the RMS repair into a reliable car. thanks for your help
