i want to get a 240sx

im 15, but i will be getting a car in a few months. i wanted a 89 rx7 or 300zx or supra but my dad said there all to fast and i will wrap it around a tree . i finally came across a s13 model 240sx, and i can get one. i would like to be able to work on it, is it hard to work on? and i would like to modify it some, maybe get it up to 200 hp? how much would that cost?? sorry for the noob questions. thanks- mark

so your dad won't let you get 80's 300zx, Supra, rx7 but will let you modify a 240sx..... hmmmmm

whatever you get just make sure it has air bags. j/k... air bags are for wimps. if you want to get that much "constant" power I just have to say turbo with fairly low numbers like yours you shouldn't even need a FMIC pretty sure. really easy way to get 200 is just throw a 75 shot in the stock engine with headers and a cold air. and you would prolly hit near if not a little over 200 WHP.

I hit 205 whp and 250 lb-ft at the wheels with just a 50 shot and an exhaust.

And if you do get a 240 for a first car. take it easy in the rain. take it really easy in the rain. unless you just wanna have fun and scare the bajeezus out of your friends. but you should go out one day and learn about countersteering, bout when you brake and when you floor it. really learn your car and how your car behaves. im just watching out for you, little one.

ok thanks for clearing that up. im looking at a 92 240sx fastback se. the 80's car im talking about are the 240z, 300zx, supra, fiero, and rx7

yea, theres no way my dad will let me get nos... he had a 240z when he was my age about about got himself killed in it so hes very wierd about fast cars
