Gas Mileage...97 K1500 Z71

I was curious as to what other people with the same truck or similiar trucks get as far as gas mileage goes...thanks

96 Z71 Ext Cab 5.7L Auto trans, all stock. I have no tonneau cover and I drive with the tailgate up. I use synthetic fluids anywhere possible, and I keep my tires at 50 psi. I run regular unleaded, and I also have a K&N stock filter replacement(no cold air setup). I have brand new pre-cat oxygen sensors. I have true dual exhaust from the cats back. I have had a full tune up done recently, but I still have orginal ACDelco plugs in my truck. My tires(stock size 265/75/16) are aggressive tread mudding tires and they are cupping and worn out from the previous owner. I have a 3.42 axle. I have brand new front ball joints, new rear wheel bearings with alignment. I drive 90% of the time with gas conservation in mind. I drive mostly on road. I have taken multiple trips between Kansas City, Dallas, and Shreveport. I travel at 70-75 on hwy, and I have a lot of stoplights in town. I do not have a operational air conditioner, so it is not used. I get 13-14 mpg in the city, and I get 22-23 mpg on the hwy. I expect to gain one or possibly two more mpg by getting new tires soon. Hope this information puts things in perspective. -Chris
