93 lx wagon steering

I have replaced wheel bearings, axle shafts tie rod ends, power steering rack, ball joints, struts, and strut mounting hardware. Now I'm replacing control arms and sway bar bushings. But the steering still doesn't feel tight. When it rains I feel no contact with the road at all, I rotated the tires, no change. advice?

it was tight for a long time, but after 100k it started to get loose. wear i'm sure. I suppose I am expecting a lot for it to be the same, but after replacing every single steering part I think I could expect some improvement don't you?

Re: 93 lx wagon steering

yea, i would expect some improvement... hm... like i said i'm not that experienced, but since no one else is lending a hand could it be a problem with the alignmnent... i forget the exact term for what i'm thinking of (trying to remember setting up my nitro R/C truck...), but where the wheels may not be perfectly straight forward... if you get what i mean. since you already did all the other replacements i'm assuming you probably had it done, but just incase you haven't... lol. also, couldn't it be a shot bearing somewhere in the stearing column, i'd imagine that wouldn't make for very tight stearing... idk, i'm just throwing everything out i can think of, but i know it's probly all stuff you've tried, so sry if this is the case. idk how taboo this is here as i don't use these forums much, but try going to feoa.net... they're all about escorts and have much more traffic than this board. good luck, and if for some reason the link won't post cause of admin rules i'll pm it to you
