Question about rust..
A guy here is sellin this 1992 MAZDA MX3 GS, v6, 5 Speed, Manual PW, Cruise, Kenwood CD Player, Remote Car Starter, extra (4) Michelin winter tires on steel rims. Moon Roof, 163k. for $3500 or O.B.O
BUT i talked to him before and he sent me pic's of the car and told me their were acouple spots that had rust on them or rust was starting to form...(he also sent me pic's of the spots that i can post if needed) I was just wondering if it cost alot to get rust spots fixed? can just the alittle spots be fixed or does it gotta be like all redone (ie. the whole car would need repainted and crap like that once the body work was done?) |

Re: Question about rust..
depends, if your wiling to do it yourself, sandblast it etc. that just takes times and the tools... also it depends on how big of a rust spot are we talking about, where on the body? if theres any on the tranny or engine, forget about it unless ur whilling to buy about 3000 in new peices... rust is like a cancer, and its very hard to stop it...

yea i thought about it and i figured it wasnt worth spendin the $ to fix it when i could use the $ and get a better car or atleast buy parts for one.
Friend of my family owns all of the major car dealerships here so he told me he would cut me a big deal on any car i want so im just gunna get them to find me one thats in good shape i think. |

Yo i got another question about rust..
How you can sandblast it to fix it, can anyone that is skilled in sandblasting do it? or does it take a certain skill for cars compaired to other products? and does it use the samethings as normal sandblasting or is there different materials type thing? My brother-in-law does sandblasting and painting at his job (but like steel beams and big stuff like that) but i know he's sandblasted other stuff like wheelbarrows and some other stuff for ppl, then painted them and they look new, so was just wondering if it would be the same deal for rust spots on a car? |
