s14 and s14.5s....

trying to figure out the terminology here on this one. i'm guessing that the 95-96 240s are S14 and the 97-98 240s are S14.5?

thanks.

(i searched newbie area but didn't find an answer to this EXACT question)

Re: s14 and s14.5s....

no the 97-98's are also just normal s14, sometimes referred to as s14a or kouki. s14.5's are basically s14's that have the s15 conversion on it, so it looks like an s15 but has the s14 body

Re: s14 and s14.5s....

glad i asked.

so if they're selling a s14.5 bumper it's for a 95-98 240sx with the S15 headlight conversion?

which leads me to the next question.. s14 bumper should fit all 95-98 240s? eventhough the 97-98s have different headlights then the 95-96s?

thanks for the quick reply, publicenemy137.

ugh the number, THE NUMBERS!

All S14 and S15 bumpers fit on all S14s, but you need the matching headlights, fenders, corner lights, grille, hood, etc.

s14 bumpers are made specific for each generation. The 95-96 ones have diff bumpers then 97-98.... now like he said if you have a 95, want a 95 bumper, you can stil instal it, but you need the 98 hood, lights, fenders etc... basically to make it look like a 98. EXPENSIVE

so if u got a 95, look for a 95 bumper basically lol

Re: s14 and s14.5s....

hey sr20, we must be dealing with some real geniuses here...

who ever thought...that a 95-96 bumper would only fit 95-96 s14s?

i mean, i know it says 97-98 bumper in the ad, but maybe they just forgot about the previous 2 years when they typed it....they probably mean 97-98 AND 95-96
