removing cd player from a 2001 Civic EX

I just bought a 2001 Civic EX and I'd like to put my old CD/MP3 player in it. Do I need any special tools to removie the stock CD player? Also, the wiring harness I had is for a 90 Accord, do I need to buy a new one?
