2001 Exp Sprt Blower mtr replaced-works on hi only

I replaced my blower mtr on my 01 Explorer Sport & now it only works on hi or 4. In a previous forum dated 1/03/04 re:94 Explorer I read it was possibly because of a thermal fuse in the resistor assembly. I was wondering if this would work on 2001 models as well or if it's more complicated? Do I need to just replace the resistor switch? Opera House can you please help me? I'm a girl & I know nothing about cars. Thank you in advance for any help/advice you can give me.

normaly the only thing that would cause this problem is the resistor pack - high speed works because it bypasses the resistor
