Yup, I'm just finished with the work on my 1:12 LM and can't decide what color to choose!

Papaya is the "true" LM color, while the black LM is "mystical"...
What do you guys think??

I'm gonna have it professionally sprayed so it'g gonna cost a bit.

I'd go with the Paypaya for two reasons:

- First, more people will recognize the car for what you are trying to make it appear to be in that color. Very little info is out there on the 'mythical' black ones, and it's still often debated that the cars even exist. There's some credible sources that have confirmed them, but it's still not common info.

- Second, there's no reference material available to work from unless you have things that the rest of us do not. In trying to recreate something in scale this seems even more important than how many are familiar with it. I mean imagine spending the time and money to "recreate" one of the black LMs only to finish and a few weeks/months later actual photos appear of the two cars and your attempt doesn't really match up. That would certainly be disappointing im my book if that occurred.

Can't wait to check it out!

Sweet man - that looks great. I can imagine how much extra work it would be to fit the wing mirrors, so don't feel too bad. It looks great!

I wish I had the talents and patience of you and Mr Thorst.

Please feel free to share each one as you complete it. I'm especially interested in seeing the yellow and your version of Kennedy's F1.

Sorry - I guess I should have written "I can imagine how much extra work it would be to fit the mirrors to the A-Pillars, so don't feel too bad."
