95 olds silhouette getting hot

The engine gets hot above 85 deg. outside temperature. If I keep the rpm's around 3000 it starts to cool off. If I keep the air conditioning on it helps cool the engine down to normal. Also noticed the engine runs strong some times and then starts to lose power intermitent, like an uneven chugging feeling.
I replaced the radiator and computer and put on a new belt.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Jack

Make sure all the air is out of the coolant area of the engine and the radiator.

Thanks. I have tryed several ways like parking on a slope and running the engine with the cap off. Is there a way to pull a vacuum(that's a hard word to remember how to spell) and add water at the same time?
