KA24E to KA24DE Swap ?

As the title states, I am going to swap a 95 KA24DE to replace my tired and broken E. I've searched around on here looking for this info and didn't have much luck so if its been ask a million times, my apologies. Just trying to finish up some research on this project so I can get everything I need before I get started. I am going with the DE because I can get it for a great price and it only has 80K on it.

My question is, the DE is an automatic and my E setup is a 5 speed. Can I use the S13 transmission, flywheel and clutch kit to mate up to the S14 engine?

Also if any has a complete S14 engine wiring harness I'm looking for one.

TMK everything should bolt up fine...not positive though...I haven't worked on either...it's just what I've been told...also the sr20 trannies (any besides s15 6 speed) should be a direct bolt on, minus the bell housing and possibly slight modification in terms of clearence/bolting locations...

If you do the swap post some pics, info and possible trouble spots...it's something a lot of people consider when they buy an 89-90 with high mileage/blown motor...

Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely do a write up when I get this all together. I definitely need to replace the E and right now an sr swap isn't in the cards because of another project I haven't completed. Just have to figure out a couple more things and find a wiring harness etc.

KA and SR bellhousing is the same. I know a guy with a KA tranny assembly inside an SR bellhousing.

Back on topic - I have a '95 KA in my '89 and am writing up a FAQ right now. I highly recommend using an S13 DOHC harness and ECU, its a big PITA to do the wiring and find that you might have fucked up somewhere along the lines...

Ya, wait a day or two for me to finish the FAQ, its very detailed... Pretty much step by step, only with a storyline :thumbup

I found a totalled 92 auto and running 90 5spd. so I plan do do the swap anything I will still need besides a de 5spd. ecu.?
