Put the new fuel pump in and drove the car today, checked compression cause I know the previous owner told me it had a blown head gasket or a cracked head. #2 and #3 were low so I decided to do surgery. Easy ass gasket job on this car I must say, I did it in 5 1/2 hours having never done one before and walking about 20 yards to my apt everytime I needed a different tool. That time also includes changing the fuel pump and driving the car down the raod for like 15 min or so. I believe in everything being done right so everything is at the machine shop getting check out and everything is going through the vat to be nice and pretty then some parts are looking at being powder coated. Anyways TIME FOR THE QUESTION:
I am not 100% positive how to make sure the linkage is correct for the upper timeing chain that goes to the cams? I dont' want to get it off cause i know if you do then you can bend valves and stuff and that is NO FUN
Pics from head Removal and Pics of old Gasket, Tell me what you think Sorry they load slow but good quality is important when you are looking at an engine.
