Just because nobody has concrete evidence that Bush isn't a lying scumbag,doesn't mean it isn't true.

taranaki, are you trying to say that bush had NO reason to believe there were WMD in iraq? that he provided NO proof for his move to invade? if i remember correctly, the cia was thoroughly convinced that there were WMD in iraq and that the testemonies of several captured/escapee iraqi scientists and assorted "people in the know" were more than plausible. what i HONESTLY dont understand is that during the SEVERAL week period that saddam knew bush was coming one way or another, but was being delayed by politics, if he had WMD, why wouldn't he move them? he'd be crazy not to, which is why the cia also detected many, many truck transports zipping around iraq from areas showing very little activity prior to this. trucks moving back and forth around iraq and also into turkey. whatever bush finds after such a long delay is a miracle. how easy would it be to dig a hole 20 feet into the ground with a couple of cats and put a few tons of missles down there? what do people expect? i dont know. whatever.

There's nothing twisted about it! That is the way the legal system is set up. Ever heard of innocent until proven guilty?

We had documentation od Sadaam's WMD. He had no documentation of it's disposal. He refused to abide by the UN sanctions. We were RIGHT to go in and remove his sick self.

Bush would have had all manner of 'intelligence',some alleging proof that WMD were in IRAQ,some confirming that none had been found after extensive searching.Because he is who he is,Bush elected to take notice only of the 'intelligence' that fitted his pre-determined plan to invade Iraq and usurp its leader.The objective itself isn't entirely bad, but the lies told to achieve it should be unacceptable to every patriotic American.The President of the United States should be an honorable man,and this one isn't.

Not quite sure where your first statement fits in,Flatrater.If American troops weren't occupying Iraq,they woulddn't be getting shot at.Bush's bullshit about liberating Iraq is patently false,the Iraqis don't want his men there,nor do they want power turned over to a bunch of expats who aspire to leadership and are prepared to kiss bush's butt in order to get it.

As for the second point.Nobody is suggesting that you are unpatriotic,unless you know that your President is a liar and still support him.

btw ~ my mom works the US oil management transportion of it etc. Everday she talkes to the bush adminastration and numerious other goverment agency's about the united states oil reserves and how they are and if the percetige of barrels per day will affect the us economy. That site is a bunch of bs.

also russia has decreased in oil production dramtically since 01 due to the war and other factors.

Don't try talking sense to taranaki. He only accepts HIS sources as valid. The first chart seeks to indicate that the far east, Oceana, and Africa produce more oil than the middle east. Why don't we start wars there if oil is the reason for this war?

He is blinded by his hatred of the Bush administration. Seems strange to me (and offensive) as he isn't even an American.
