I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe with 74,000 miles. My transmission seems to be shifting hard from first to second gear.It only does this after it has warmed up good. All the other gears are fine and no other problems as far as shifting.Would new fluid and filter fix this? I read something about the pressure control selonoid being bad.Would this be the problem? Thanks for any help !!!

Re: Tahoe shifts hard
Hi Greg!
I just joined this forum 5 minutes ago. It's been very informative so far. So I thought i'd pass this along to you. My 97 Tahoe did the same thing, but only after long distances at high speeds. It ended up being the torque converter. Thank God I bought the warrenty plan with my truck! Hope this helps you out some. ~Marie~ |
