Need Help With A 1999 Tahoe Brake System

MY 1999 TAHOE'S BRAKES HAVE JUST STARTED ACTING UP. WHEN I PUSH THE PEDAL DOWN IT PUSHES BACK. WHEN I SIT AT A STOP LIGHT AND HOLD THE BRAKES DOWN IT DIES. ANYBODY HAVE ANY CLUE BEFORE I PAY A MILLION DOLLARS FOR THE COMPUTER TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO?

If the engine dies when you hold the brake pedal down, it sound like the power brake booster is bad.

Re: Need Help With A 1999 Tahoe Brake System

my brake booster just went out; 98 tahoe sport. Im working on it now. brake booster rod bolt is hard to take out, thanks to the steering column being in the way. so i think im going to drop it now.
