i35 vs 3000gt sl

what do u guys think who will win this race his car has a 5spd? plz help they guys wants to put up $200 i think i will win my car is a 03 infiniti i35

I know this is super old, but you may want to keep you money in your pocket. I have an I35 and I got to tell you, even though they are power pack, the weight and lathargic 4speed auto tranny makes getting to power to the ground a mission impossible. If I were you, I would just trash talk to the guy and let him dream about a race. LOL

I agree...keep your money. The 0 - 60 on a 3000GT VR4 is about 5.5 seconds with a good driver (it has 320 hp!). A decent driver could do it in 7.0. Either way, you would only get a good view of his tail lights.

he didn't say vr4 he said sl. it's a 220 hp v6 and the car weighs 3400 lbs. 3800 with AWD. the I 35 should take it. I'm sure this comment has no bearing though cuz this thread is 6 months old.

well the guy is a wuss and doesnt wanna race me but last night i raced my friends 03 tls and i took him by about a car so i figure the 3000gt sl will be behind about 2-3 cars

Why would you want to race 2 slow cars? I love the I30/I35, but let's face it, any decently fast car should hand you your ass.
