So I go to get into my car and there are no interior lights! I checked the fuse, that's good, checked all four bulbs and they are all good, but none of the lights work with the dome light switch on or the car door open. I have no idea where to check for their grounds either. Any suggestions or ideas??

Re: 1994 grand am interior lights
ive got a 94 ga too. had the same problem, turns out the little button switch on the drivers door was stuck in, so the lights stayed off when i opened the door, try checking that.
Also, on the car if you turn the interior lights on by using the dimmer switch and leave them on when the car is off for a while, eventually they go off so it doesnt drain the battery and if you do not turn the switch off after this happens, they will not come back on until you put the switch back to normal. |

Re: 1994 grand am interior lights
its on the front of the inside door frame. its a small black button that springs when you open and close the door to switch the lights on and off, just make sure its not stuck depressed in.

Re: 1994 grand am interior lights
ok I think I found "them" there are 2 buttons on the front of the door next to the bottom hinge however they are rusted pretty good. I am going to get some wd-40 see if that loosens them up and try to pull them out. Thanks!
I'll let you know if it works!
