Couple of exhaust questions.
with a y-pipe and b-pipe, how much gains can you get with a muffler added to that?
I'm not a fan of the sound that mufflers make, but it'd be nice to have some noise. So I'm thinking about get a b-pipe unresonated and keeping the stock muffler. Would it make an awful sound or a quiet humming noise? Does anyone have this setup or something similar to it that can help me out? Thanks. |

Re: Couple of exhaust questions.
1-2 hp for the mufler
17 or so for the y pipe maybe 3-5 for the mid pipe.

Re: Couple of exhaust questions.
No resonator will result in a raspy, ricey sound. The resonator quiets and deepens the exhaust note. If you want a nice growl, get a resonated b-pipe and ask a muffler shop for a recommendation on mufflers.

Theoretically, the bigger the muffler, the quieter is is, because of more bafling, etc, the smaller the muffler, the more its just a pipe passing exhaust through. ALthough it's expensive, the Apexi worldsport Its incredible at keeping sound to a minimal.
I have the Cattman exhaust, and its extremely quiet. in fact, you barely notice it when you're driving normally.
