Upper Radiator hose...

Just wondering if the NA and TT's upper radiator hose is compatible with one another? I was looking at this hose and wanted to buy it for my NA... BLITZ COOLING PERFORMER. I also found a tap for my upper rad-hose but I thought that the BLITZ hose was nicer looking and convinent.

Re: Upper Radiator hose...

They may not be... Because the radiator is different to accomidate the boost pipping. It may be different. You could try to E-Mail them and ask.

Typically if a part fits more than one application they will list it... It's worth asking!

According to my awesome FSM cd with parts list and parts micro-fiche, there are two different part numbers for upper radiator hoses, one for turbo, one for NA. Sorry on the upgrade there pal. The NAs radiator is actually larger than a TTs because as Sam said, the TT has to work around the boost hosing. Besides, I know performance parts for the NA can be hard to find but there has got to something more beneficial for you to do. I can't image needing to upgrade the upper radiator hose unless you are going racing. The long, 90 degree bend lower radiator hose sure but the upper will work just fine for far beyond the power levels we're dealing with.

Re: Upper Radiator hose...

The reason for the upgrade is one that I mentioned... it looks better and it's tap convience makes it easier to tap in a TEMP sensor for my new gauges. But I guess I lucked-out. SPL has a 'tap' that you insert into your existing hose by cutting it into two peices... not that great looking but I guess I'm going with that.
