Want 98 Camry LE 2.2 4-cyl to be quicker

I just got my 98 Camry about 6 months ago. It's an LE, 2.2-Litre 4-cyl. I am not too impressed with its acceleration and general engine performance. I was wondering anyone had any recommendations as to what I can do to give it a little more power.

By the way, I already have a straight-thru muffler installed, but notice very little difference.

Cheapest route is sell it and buy a V6 Camry. If you really want to modify it, search this forum. We have discussed this within the last couple of months in detail.
