Additional C I A info
West coast relocatee to West "by God" Virginia Got a aftermarket
polished (not rubber) CIA (with no instructions of course) off e-bay for my original owner Ca. 95 SOHC Automatic, was reading in the forum about having to take out some parts, but was looking under the hood and it looks like I just have to cut the original open intake and clamp it to it, but was wondering about the small rubber hose that came with it and and it has a small tube (metal) welded onto it (is it for a sensor). Can any one give me a link or an idea where I can get common installation instructions on-line. Would appreciate any help... |

Re: Additional C I A info
The "small rubber hose" that came with it is most likely your MUA (Make-Up Air) tube. It normally goes to the back of your valve cover to provide some crankcase ventilation. However, 1995 model Neon's didn't have a MUA tube on the valve cover as the later models did. So you can simply ignore that rubber hose and leave it unused.
As far as the metal tube for a "sensor" that is most likely where the MUA tube connects to the intake... not a sensor. Again, since your 1995 doesn't use this, you can simply block off that tube and leave it unused. L8R, |
