need traction.....

can someone give me ideas for getting traction with my s10? i spin through the first gear then i grip, but i want grip off the line if i can get it, but i dont have alot of money. if i put weight in my bed will that help? any help will be very appreciated, thnx. oh by the way its a v8 causing the traction problems.

If it has any power at all your S10 should be burning rubber threw 2nd as well. You might want to put weight in the rear but traction bars or bigger tires work too. I have known a few people that have done v8+S10 combo and none of them could hold traction. Even a hopped up 4.3 will spin the daylights out of the tires.

just get abunch of concrete blocks and fill the bed up that will get some traction for you.
