good security methods for Integra (DC2)
what are some good security items/ methods?
i was looking into getting one of those "MOMO" steering wheels, the ones that you can take off with a key or whatever. i was also thinking about the "pager" alarm system that notifies you when someone is breaking into your car. what do you people think? any other good ways of making it hard for thieves to steal your car? |

I Think A Multi Lock Is Your Best Bet. A Pager Alarm Works As Well, But I Think The Multilock Is Great. I Have Known Lots Of Thieves And They All Tell Me That Its The Hardest Way To Steal A Car, Of Course If They Have A Tow Truck, Its Gone. I Guess There Is No Way To Be 100 Percent Sure Your Car Wont Get Stolen, But With A Pager Alarm Hooked Up With Some Loud Airhorns, And A Multi Lock You Should Be Safe.the Momo Steering Whell Is Good To But How Would You Look Going To The Movies Or To Eat With Your Steering Wheel In Your Hand?

Re: good security methods for Integra (DC2)
I have a two way pager alarm on my car and it works great. I also have a mini piezo siren hooked up inside my car and it's louder than hell. I've heard that you can go deaf from listening to it to long. But of course, that's only electrical and can be shut down. And 94hondaacc is right, if the thief has a tow truck, you're done for. That's the risk you run driving a bad ass car though.

Re: good security methods for Integra (DC2)
yea i would def say the pager is the way to be. I heard that if your car is really low it can make it a super pain to steal even with a tow truck. A strategy i thought of is just to turn your wheels sharply to the side when u park. and activate the wheel lock. If they break in and put it in neutral to jack it they then have to deal with the wheel lock cuz they cant push the car straight up onto the lift, has some glitches but just a thought.
Also i dunno if you guys have seen that I,robot movie but in it they have the steeringwheel come out of the dash and fold up. Just like in dash tvs. its bad ass |

Re: good security methods for Integra (DC2)
The new 671xp from Python is real trick. Instead of a fragile LCD monitor, you have LED lights that tell you what your car is doing. I suggest installing a digital tilt sensor along with backup batteries for the brain and siren. Oh, make sure they hook up ALL pin switches too.
