transmission leak
I Have A 2000 Silverado X-cab 4x4. I Noticed A Leak Coming From A Tube That Seems To Be Attached To The Transmission. Have Checked The Fluid Level And Seems To Be Fine. Does Anyone Know Where This Tube Goes And Why It Would Be Leaking? The End I Can See Is Clamped To The Top Of The Transfer Case.

tube
the tube is a breather hose for the transmission. the tranny is either slightly overfilled, or got hot enough to puke a small amount of fluid out.....(????)
depending on mileage....it may be a detent issue, or something with the pump........

tranny or transfer case?
Is the fluid red or blue? I have had a problem with my transfer case leaking which does have a breather tube clamped to the top of it. It's a long story but, there are actual cracks wearing through my transfer case and at first I thought it was coming from the breather tube. If it's blue, transfer case lube, I will elaborate.

FLUID IS RED. CONTINUES TO LEAK ABOUT A TABLESPOON OF FLUID EVERY TIME I PARK MY TRUCK. I HAVE CHECKED THE LEVEL SEVERAL TIME AND IS NOT OVERFILLED. STARTING TO GET A LITTLE CONCERNED.
