I just wanted to run this by some people to see what they think. I currently own a 98 neon highline coupe. 2.0L, 16valve, and 3-speed auto... I dont want the auto so im going to be changing it to a stick, plus i wanted to get a 2.4L in DOHC. I was tellin a friend about this b/c he does a lot of things w/ the NOPI circuits and such. He told me to hold on and he made a coupla phone calls... about 10 minutes later he told me that he would do me one better. For 3000 only. he would get an brand spankin new 2005 (or 2006 if he could get his hands on it) SRT-4 motor, 5-speed standar tranny w/ and then he would add a manifold? intercooler system, and boost controller, plus an NX dry port... I thought to myself that is the best offer I have ever heard, but how could that be so cheap? He told me everything is top notch and fresh, and that I didnt need to worry bout how he gets that shit cheap... Do you think it is cheating to be drivin a 98 neon w/ a 05/06 SRT-4 motor in it?

i dont think it is cheating...i know a guy who has already done that...he has a 96 neon and he dropped an srt4 motor in it...there are 2 things i will comment about...

1. DRY SHOT VERY BAD!!!,we have the nx ntercooler chiller and it works awesome,all it does it spray nitrous into the intercooler,adds about 30-40 extra hp for a few mins just long enough to smack a few asses...lol

2.do you know this guy well...if not im thinking this stuff is either stolen or not gonna work or not from an srt4...

i know about #1 but #2 is just my two cents!

Yeah I know him very well, his family is my family really. I know that when he lived in SC he used to go sticky handing in junk yards for the little things that people dont notice... About the Dry bad thing, are you sure, I heard that using a wet nitrous system makes the nitrous more stickier and can cause bigger problems down the road (cause eventually they both will)?

Damn i didnt think any company would be stupid engough to offer a Non race dry port kit. Second the 05 and 06 arent released, and third the Chiller kits power gain is usually from the nitrous entering the filter and acting like a dry kit. Dont be fooled by the power gains you see but only by the Cooling effects.
