how do i wire a d16y8 into a 92 civic?

I have a wrecked 96 civic ex as my donor car, so i am told that i have everything that i need, however when i began to look at the wiring harnesses and such, it became obvious that nothing was going to plug straight in, and after further investigation i couldn't even figure out how to splice the wires in. i was wondering if anyone was familiar with a 5th-6th gen engine swap, i've managed to identify a few wires that the two have in common, but i'm a long ways away, i can post pictures of the most confusing harnesses if it would help. I do want all of my accessories to work, but for now i'd be happy if i could simply figure out what i need to make it start.
