97 LeSabre w/ VERY high oil pressure after installing new engine

I just put a new engine in my 97 buick lesabre and the oil pressure gauge is reading as far to the right as the needle will go. I put a 99 k series engine in with 30,000 miles and used all the sensors from the old motor. The only one i didn't use from the old motor was the sensor from the oil filter neck because i broke it. I would assume this is the oil pressure sensor and could be the cause of my problem. Does anyone know if these sensors are universal or did different years have different ones. The wires pluged in fine but the newer one was a little shorter. Thanks, Don
