1998 pontiac montana

I have tried to program the keyless remotes for my 1998 pontiac montana and have no luck whatsoever. Is it the bcm fuse or is it the reset button under the glove box ???

Re: 1998 pontiac montana

In the '99, you program the remotes by pressing both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together for 7 seconds. Not sure it's the same for 98...

I've got a 99, and just programmed a new remote (ebay) using the procedure listed on this site. Make sure you pull the right fuse though, I pulled the wrong one twice and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. just follow the instructions and it should work (as long as the battery in the remote isn't dead) and remember that you will need all the remotes you wish to work with you and do each one so they all work.

Programming remote

I just programmed my remote if you pull the fuse box cover on the passenger side and look on the diagram to find the BCM fuse. it's like the third fuse in the last row. You have to follow the instuctions to the letter.
