Amount of transmission fluid?
what is the exact amount (quart wise) for a 4.7 liter 2000 grand cherokee. i cant find it in my owners manual.

hmmmm
your site said to use ATF +4? my manual says to use ATF +3 what gives there? and what is the difference in "service" and "overhaul"? |

You can use ATF +4 where 3 is recomended- ATF+4 is (apperantly)better fluid. Contact the dealership and consult them-If your manual says +3 then it would certainly be OK to use ATF+3. The +4 has been added since your jeep was built.

does anyone know the difference in "service" and "overhaul"?
5 quarts and 14 quarts is a big difference. didnt know if overhaul meant that draining it, will lead to me needing 14 quarts |

Overhaul means all the fluid is out of the system (when you rebuild or replace a tranny). There is also fluid in the torque converter that nomally does not drain out when doing a standard fluid change. I am not real sure why there is such a difference in capacity though???
